A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF WHITEWATER, KANSAS, FROM THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-4108 REQUIRING APPOINTMENT OF THE MUNICIPAL COURT CLERK BY THE MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF WHITEWATER, KANSAS:

Section 1. The City of Whitewater, Kansas, by the power vested in it by Article 12, Section 5, of the constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby elects to exempt itself and make inapplicable to it the provisions of K.S.A. 12-4108.

Section 2. The City of Whitewater may by ordinary ordinance, or by city code provision, establish the method by which the municipal court clerk is appointed.
